Hire Appraiser to Update Appraisal

 

WHEREAS, by resolution 522 of 2015 the Town Board hired Clark and Marshall Appraisers to appraise a home and land previously constructed under the Town's Affordable housing program located within the Town of East Hampton (SCTM 300-78-6-19) and

 

WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to have an updated appraisal  prepared on this property to reflect the current fair market value  of the land only; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that Clark and Marshall Appraisers, is hereby retained to prepare an update to their appraisal report for the aforementioned land; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the total fee for said appraisal report shall not exceed $425 and shall be paid from CD18680.54520.

Financial Impact:

Once the property is sold the Town will recapture the value of part of the land. Until we know the value of the land we will not know how much it has changed from 2015 so as to determined whether the recapture is greater or less.

Memorializing Resolution Authorizing DEC to Conduct Investigation at East Hampton Airport

 

WHEREAS, the Town of East Hampton received a letter dated November 10, 2017 from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) that they were prepared to investigate possible perfluorinated compounds (PFC) contamination at the East Hampton Airport and allowed for the investigation to be conducted by either the Town or the DEC; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Town has been actively involved in working with the Suffolk County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health regarding possible PFC contamination in the area surrounding the East Hampton Airport; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Town believes that the DEC possess more of the requisite staff, resources and expertise to conduct an investigation as to possible contamination; now therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Town of East Hampton hereby memorializes its desire to have the DEC serve as the lead investigatory agency into possible PFC contamination at the East Hampton Airport.
