NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of East Hampton will hold a public hearing to inform the public and to review the public use to be served by the above-referenced urban renewal project, and to review the impact on the environment and residents of the locality where such project will be undertaken, prior to the acquisition of the fee required for the project.
The hearing will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 6:30 PM or as soon thereafter as this matter may be heard, at Town Hall, Town of East Hampton, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.
The project will be located within the following geographic boundaries:
Beginning at a point on the north side of Underwood Avenue said point or place of beginning being 225.00 feet east from the intersection of the north side of Underwood Avenue and the east side of Royal Street; Running thence, North 23 degrees 00 minutes 14 seconds West, a distance of 80.00 feet; Thence, North 66 degrees 59 minutes 46 seconds East, a distance of 62.02 feet; Thence, South 42 degrees 25 minutes 40 seconds East, a distance of 84.83 feet to a point on the north side of Underwood Avenue; Thence along the north side of Underwood Avenue, South 66 degrees 59 minutes 46 seconds West, a distance of 90.23 feet to said point or place of beginning.
Said part or parcel of land containing approximately 6,090 sq. ft., situated at Amagansett, Town of East Hampton, County of Suffolk, State of New York.
For this project, the Town of East Hampton must acquire in fee approximately 6,090 sq. ft. for the purposes of completing Urban Renewal Parcel No. 6 in Urban Renewal Map Sheet EH-17, Town of East Hampton, Old Filed Map Study, Map No. 501, Montauk Villa Park, Filed April 5, 1912, pursuant to the Town of East Hampton Urban Renewal Law, Chapter 232, and incorporated authority therein, Section 232-1-2.
All persons having an interest in the project are invited to attend the hearing to give oral or written statements and to submit other documents concerning this proposed public project.
All citizens are permitted to submit testimony, in writing, to be made a part of the official record. All such writings must be postmarked on or before November 7, 2016, or on or before any adjourned date for the submission of written testimony, whichever is later, and are to be filed with the following party:

Please take further notice that in accordance with New York Eminent Domain Procedure Law Section 202, notice is hereby given that those property owners who may subsequently wish to challenge the condemnation of this fee acquisition via judicial review, may do so only on the basis of issues, facts, and objections raised in the hearing or in any written testimony that is timely sent and received.
