Authorize Staff to Attend Suffolk County Hike-Bike Technical Advisory Committee (HBTAC)

 

WHEREAS, Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning is looking for input to develop a county-wide Hike and Bike Network Master Plan, which will include mapping the existing hike/bike trail network, identifying major gaps in that network, and developing a plan to prioritize and fill those gaps; and

 

WHEREAS, Suffolk County has invited East Hampton Town Environmental Analyst, Andrew Drake, to engage in the project as a member of the newly formed county-wide Hike-Bike Technical Advisory Committee (HBTAC); and

 

WHEREAS, Suffolk County is hosting the first HBTAC meeting in the Media Room of the H. Lee Dennison Building at 100 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppaugue on March 18, 2019 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM; and

 

WHEREAS, the exchange of information at the meeting may be beneficial to the Town of East Hampton as well as the project coordinators; and

 

WHEREAS, there is no cost for attending the meeting and a town vehicle is available for transport to the meeting; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and ratifies the attendance of Andrew Drake for said meeting and future planned meetings of the HBTAC.
