A.              Recommended Zone Change, 137 Springs Fireplace Road - JoAnne Pahwul

Joann Pahwul from the East Hampton Town Planning Department, presented a change of zoning request from a homeowner of Springs Fireplace Road. The request would change the parcel from B residence to Commercial Industrial. This conforms with the 2005  compreshensive plan changes and is recommend by the Planning Department.

B.              CPF - Water Quality Protection Law - NancyLynn Thiele

Nancylynn Thiele gave a final update to the board before the local law would be scheduled on Thursday the 18th. Since the last worksession she has changed the rebate language so the amounts can be set by Town Board resolution from time to time. She will also be changing the language so the law reads more gender neutral. The law will also include a portion of Sag Harbor which was not there previously.

IV.              Liaison Reports

Councilwoman Burke-Gonzalez reported that she will have a resolution on Thursday to retain Morrison and Foester for litigation. She also mentioned there will be a public meeting from 1:30PM - 3:30 PM at the Senior Center to discuss the redesign. The Retreat is also sponsoring a teen program Monday June 5th. She would also like to thank Jen Wilson who's hard work allowed the Jr. Class to attend the 9/11 memorial which will now be included in the Jr. Curriculum at the high school.

 

Councilman Van Scoyoc reported that there will be a presentation by GEI consultants at Scoville Hall tonight from 5:30PM - 7:30 PM. This will be the first public meeting on the CART process.

 

Councilwoman Overby met with the recycling and litter commitee who are attempting to simplify the adopt a road program. The Anti-Bias Taskforce met and are preparing for a June 14th meeting with Rabbi Masque to discuss immigration issues in Suffolk County. She also mentioned that the Amagansett Life saving station will have its opening ceremony from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM this Saturday.

 

Supervisor Cantwell stated that a resolution will be ready by this Thursday to noticethe shuttle bus program to bidders.

V.              Executive Session: CPF, Litigation, Contract Negotiations

At 10:35 a motion was made by Councilman Van Scoyoc seconded by Councilwoman Overby to go into executive session to discuss CPF, litigation and contract negotations.
